The 38 shilling looks like it is an NGC slab, What is the grade on the slab?
The copper's are not fakes, just harshly cleaned/polished.
The NGC of course is genuine and a very nice example.
You should set up a "Gallery" on here to upload pics
Will look much better.
And welcome to the "Board" :wavemulticolor:

Thank you very much Ford. I would take my words back (if possible) regarding calling the copper fake..
I tried setting up a Gallery, but photos are too big, I will work on them and upload later on..

The 1938 is not cleaned I should have previously said. Then again, if something is professionally graded it doesn't mean it is not cleaned (although pcgs/ngc are generally pretty good at this).
Check out the 1923 halfpenny in the following link.

The Shilling is a $2100 coin and I doubt a fake .
Look up the cert number on the NGC site and you should see the images of your coin.
Yes, Thanks guys... I have verified the 1938 Shill, it is good.. Forgot to mention I am mixing doubtful coins with the real deal in my post..

Thanks mate... yes, endless nights searching on the net for coins to turn up !!! I got this little gem from Germany... for hefty sum of $380 Australian.. Yes, I am not missing any digits... :yahoo:
Sometimes you have to be lucky !
nice coin, are you sure it is RD?
Quote from: 'dcoin' pid='47571' dateline='1398564849'nice coin, are you sure it is RD?
Yes it is ...it looks more red on the hand. I will take some good photos later with proper lighting. At least PCGS think it is red

now I can see the colour more clearly. The 1911 is hard to get in RD compared to the 1912 of which is quite easy to find in 64RD or even higher.

I had a look over you half's
I do agree with others re: harsh clean and dipped clean
but I have to say that there is something about that 1951 Pl halfpenny - I have matched your pics against 2 of my own - unfortunately the obv is very fuzzy on one side - it seems to come in looking genuine but it is a bit odd looking
do you have scales that can weigh a halfpenny?
harsh cleaning can make the look a bit different
ps
that 1911 is very sweet indeed

Thank you Robbiegal, I don't have a scale to weigh them as such. I am not very fussed with the coins.. It is just sitting here now... I have lost some money, but at the end of the day it is my fault. Seller provide photos, I should look at them carefully before buying...
PS - I love this forum ... Folks around here are seems to be very helpful... :wavemulticolor:
it is good as well to load the piccies up to something like photobucket and then paste the links
although having said that, photobucket isn't working for me right now
here are 2 snaps of a 1951 pl halfpenny of mine - I was comparing your coin with mine
cheers robbie

Hi Dcoin, yes, that 23 looks odd. Wonder how it would go at PCGS?
