Visit the Mint in Canberra when it opened? You may have picked up one of these. Circa 1966.

Even had a museum. Interesting. Can't find/see it now.
Nice bit of memorabilia PPH.
I trust you weren't the one that was given that piece on it's opening........?
I wasn't born then. No, Mark got me a present on his birthday!! Just a happy coincidence that it's his birthday, can't pass up cool coin related stuff like this....and favourite coin dealers know I like this sort of stuff and save it for me :yahoo::yahoo:' Maybe I'm the only bunny who pays money for this sort of thing
Cool PPH. I've seen that front cover somewhere before. (A long long time ago).

My, hasn't the layout changed over the years?
The museum evolved quite a bit, and seemed to be different on every visit. The longest incarnation I can recall was a big room on the left after you turned the last corner and headed out over the presses. They had quite a lot of stuff on display, much of it pretty poorly presented/preserved. And of course the corridor was always lined with display cases.
Mint modern visitor gallery even has a coffee shop
Agreed runway, right in front of the Mint Shop immediately to the right of the entrance.
