What the hell does this PNC have any relevance to "Australia Wins the Ashes 5-0"
Overprinted in gold foil imprint.... 2014 Overprinted 200 Yrs Aust Post PNC "Australia Wins the Ashes 5-0"
Limited to only 10 Prints
Individualy Numbered

Private issue I know but this is not the old school OFFICIAL overprinted PNCs issued to help fund the Philatelic Shows
I have strong thoughts about this practice and is anyone here willing to comment on this eBay listing and opinion?

I looked at this same PNC yesterday(or so called PNC) and i didn't like it at all. Just looked so wrong in my eyes. The first thing that came to mind was the fact that the pnc is a 2009 issue? correct ? So why does that matter to the 2013/2014 cricket season? Also the coin has nothing to do with the ashes. I agree with you on the sensibility(or lack of) of it.
I'm scratching my head over this, why are people bidding? The PNC and theme have no relevance to the "foil stamp". There has been a delay on The Urn Returns PNC and what stock was delivered has dried up and some collectors are still waiting. I guess this targets those panicing about not getting this issue and buying something completely ridiculous without thinking.
Rubbish ! & the .....holes doing the foil overprint should be publicly flogged.
Only the official issuers should be allowed to do foiled overprints IMO.

Sellers like this selling such overprinted items are blatently attempting to rip off buyers thinking the foil overprint is something special...
I like 2014 Overprinted WWF Australia M/S " "Jeff Fenech Turns 50"
Hope Jeff gets a piece of the action.

Totally agree...this is bordering on FRAUD
More fraud from this gold foil overprinter .... trying to sell his own printer error as rare!!!!

Response I got when I asked ....Dear tiger777peter1peter,
Where did you buy the gold overprinter machine? ......
Hi, this overprint is actually holographic, but the machine will print any foil including 23K gold leaf. It is a heat press that cost over 15000, they are available from a supplier in Australia.

FRAUD at its worst but no point reporting to ebay they don't give a rats
I went to Aust Post re the misuse of these FDC and they informed me "that once the FDC has been sold, the general public can do whatever they like with the product".
The RAM also advised me basically the same as they supply the majority of coins for the FDC/PNC's.
So lets all get in on the act and produce one of our own and hopefully make a fortune.

*snip snip* has a lot to answer for.
Some of the privately produced PNCs are quite attractive.
But it's the altering of existing first day covers and pretending they are official that gets to me.

I was being civil.
I just don't like people who commit fraud by misrepresenting the origins of their stock.
Anyway CR is long gone but there are plenty of copycats around.

You were being civil but we don't need nicknames associated with real names.
