Title: 1934 coins for 80th
Post by: autocoupler on February 11, 2014, 10:05:17 PM
Not sure if this is the correct thread, anyhow I put this gadget together for a family member. He is a past rail worker of the steam days hence the gauge. The coins aren't all that flash but I think they did the job OK .

Cheers, Ray

Scan the object with your scanner and then try posting into the gallery above.   Use the link in the gallery to post the picky in here.

Another way is to take a really good photo of the object, send it via email to a member of the forum requesting that they put it up on the forum for you.

A very interesting piece.   Was the recipient a Steam Train Driver or something?

Thanks for the positive feed back, we are happy with how it turned out. My uncle was a shunter at Coffs Harbour for many years, but he did drive what was known as a X100 class chain driven shunt tractor, predominately for marshalling the banana wagons but all that is now on road I think. Considering these were the days of demarcation issues, the odd thing is that someone from another stream other than a Train Driver was actually legal to do it. Something to do with the type of braking system fitted.
