Photos stolen from Sterling and Currency website.
I've reported it, hopefully it gets pulled before someone places a bid.

Also reported it :ok:
Here's the Stering link.
No doubt same pics.

All the pics of genuine coins should be watermarked to stop this sort of thing happening :ok:
I agree! Water marks are the way to go.
Pure coincidence, I am sure (NOT) that both coins have exactly the same marks, wear and toning!
I have asked the seller if the pictures are the actual coin being offered. Will report answer, if any.
Pity it is necessary to watermark. I have started watermarking all my eBay listing pictures -sick of seeing my pictures (and often most of the description) used by others. Jenny's china listings have most often been filched by overseas sellers. We did try reporting some but a major problem with eBay reports is that it is only a tick the box exercise; no provision for a concise statement of your concern and the possible selections often don't match a valid reason for a report.
...... and oddly enough ..... it's totally disappeared! :whistle2:
Chalk one up to the good guys?
I'd say so Jeff.
For it to be totally removed it would have to be ebay that deleted it?
Hence the reports made would be their only way of knowing.
Let's hope they have a nice system now where if they get a high number of reports within a certain timeframe they actually do something about it.
Reporting anything to ebay is a lottery as to if they care or not

That is a nice idea but there is a certain danger to it.
What if a lot of frivolous reports are made?
A good point Feathers.
I'm not sure of what happens on the seller side if the item is removed, perhaps there's a method to allow you to defend your listing against frivolous removal.

There is not.
I can tell you from bitter experience.
Wow, that's nice to know.
I can understand then why the experience was bitter!
Here is another "Corker":dodgy:

It's harshly cleaned so the grade and value are not correct but as far as authenticity is concerned, perhaps I'm missing something but I cannot find anything wrong with it.

I am NO way an expert on these but why on earth would anyone use that crappy slabbing mob for a 1930 penny unless there was something seriously wrong with the coin and the seller "Knows It" and that it wouldn't pass the scrutiny of NGC or PCGS.
Blue sheet value for a F12 coin is $19,500.
Just seems like a devious listing to me :ok:

Oh yes. Very much so.
Me thinks the "0" in the date is out of alignment.

The "O" does look a bit Shifty. Well spotted Bruce :good:
QuoteI AM PUTTING ON SOME SENSATIONAL 1923 HALFPENNIES AS WELL SHORTLY ONCE AGAIN GRADED, SLABBED AND WITH AUTHENTICATED CERTIFICATE.
Can't wait for these beauties :laugh2:
Not a type of coin I would buy from a greedBay suss seller
APCGS who the hell are they?
I admit these guys aren't up there with the overseas guys, but in any case, you have to buy the coin, not the holder.
The 1930 appears to tick all the boxes for being geniune. The date is ok in my opinion. (1930 off Sterling / Currency image on right)

The value seems to fit around the aF range, straight out of McDonald's guide. As emu mentioned, the cleaning detracts but it has nice rims. I wouldn't be surprised to see a coin like this get bids @ $15,000 at Auction (without buyers premium)
As for APCGS. I wouldn't write the coins they slab off. The can and will get legit coins and I have seen examples where they grade lower than what I believe PCGS would.
