Title: 1953 Pennies
Post by: interest on February 08, 2014, 10:37:12 PM
Two 1953 pennies, check the difference as to where the dot is next to the last "A" in Australia.
Plus the extra dot in between the legs of the "A" on the left

If you look carefully at the larger dot it isn't round but has a defect on the lower right quadrant. I've seen this on a number of Perth pennies and I have to wonder why/how it happens. Perhaps the technique of a particular employee as his own private privy mark?

I think it's a halfpenny.
