Title: 1922 Threepence error?
Post by: Triggersmob on January 27, 2014, 11:10:34 AM
A member of CCF, DVCollector, just posted some pics of 1922 Threepence and pointed out an error in the coin. A slanted line near the bottom of the shield. A die break presumably.
So I checked my 1922 and I have the same error. Just wondering if this is very common?

Not common but not as rare an upset 1922 3d or of course a 1922/1 overdate.

There were a couple of these threepences shown over on CCF about a year or so ago. I checked mine for the same fault and I have a low grade example. So just another interesting variety.

OK, seems they are common then.
Thanks for the replies. :)
