Don't mind seeing more coins from the same countries too.

As Wheat is and has been for millennium a staple food world wide I imagine there are a huge amount of different coins depicting wheat on them.
I imagine that even some of the ancient coins may have wheat on them as well.
Great thread Mate :good:

Looks like grain on the right, though it could be ammunition belts going by the central theme!

I'm thinking it is grain, so I'll count it in the list until someone proves otherwise.

Steve, it is grain on the Mozambique coin. On the right hand side of the page below it says that it's an ear of maize (which explains the rows).

The Mozambique Emblem consists of Corn on the right, Sugarcane on the left. The only nation to incorporate a Modern firearm in their Emblem (AK47)
Thanks guys.
That settles it then, Mozambique is in the count.
Nikon owners do not take 'grainy' pictures.!! :dodgy::blush::kez_15:
suff it, this coin is way to nice not to make it to the list :(
(http://i41.tinypic.com/1r5bpe.jpg)
Just a little extra,
the Emblem was not adopted officially until 1990
They "Jumped the Gun" by using it in 1986.

OK, so it's not a grain and I can't add it to the list,
but still nice to see a beaut looking coin. :)

I could really go off 'çoin' topic with some personal "Australiana" history in the grain theme, but I shall not.

Thanks Unicorn.
Have added this country to the list.
Keep them coming guys.
How far do you take this? Grain as a theme, or grain as an element?
Many Coat of Arms designs feature grain as an element - 2001 Queensland Federation 50c and New Zealand Half Crowns for example...

Welcome. It's all a bit of fun. If it's your collection then you can do what you like! Personally I think if there's a grain on the coin then it can go in this thread!!!! Pic away!

South Korea 50 Won 1996 Oat Sprig

There's already one of these pictured, but I put all 6 together.
Bulgaria 1,2,5,10,20,50 Stotinka Grain

Just realised the Obv of Bulgaria's coins also have wheat in their Coat of Arms.
Bulgaria 2 Diff Coat of Arms - 1962-1990

I don't think Morocco has a mention yet
(http://www.australian-coins.net/gallery/albums/userpics/10124/Morocco.jpg)
and one from I have no idea where
(http://www.australian-coins.net/gallery/albums/userpics/10124/Unknown.jpg)
Nice pics guys.
A couple of new additions to the list.
Steve, that last one is from Burma (Myanmar).
Can I play?
That looks like something grainy to the right of the llama.
According to Krause the two birds perched on an oat sprig. Oats are grainish.
That is definitely a bushel (?) of grain at the bottom left of the coat of arms.
The Bolivia coin has the coat of arms shown, which consist of an Alpaca standing next to some wheat.
Oat sprig seems to be a common term used for foliage on lots of coins, but in this case
looks nothing like oats. I might have to disallow that one :) . Nice pics by the way.
Although these countries have already been covered, I just wanted to share the coins with you.
