I was inspired by trout :zomby: :mocking:
I STOLE mine off a fish :haha:
My name is Mark. And my surname starts with N. Hence I am markn. I am a creative genius ;)
:scratch_one-s_head: what one? The Greenback Cutthroat
I have used "Trout" as my username since I first "Discovered the Internet in the 90's
I can still remember when 'Newsgroups" were the only online buying opertunities, NO ebay, online shops or anything of that nature.
I had a flash new 486 dx66 with 4 meg of ram with one of them flash new cd drives:yahoo:
i am an avid fly fisher so TROUT was an obvious choice for me :)
:laugh2: thanks markn, I suppose I can always change it :winkextra:
 So how old are you trout? If you've been around from the start of time way back in the 90's
Im slightly more imaginative than markn but not by much. My surname is browne and that backwards = enworb
About 8 years ago I was registering on a forum, so I took the first letter of my name, 'w', but the name was too short, so I added 2 more but it said the name was in use, wwww was in use too, but wwwww was free and henceforth became my online alias.
I hunt purple pennies  get in my way and I'll trample you.
Mine derives from Triple Witching Hour, an investment term. I just liked the sound of it.-John

If that is like sniping on ebay at 3am then I am guilty of that as well:whistle2:
Um.. Fr45h3R is due to a bacon incident in Queenstown years ago. Modified for internet use with the numbers.

What about halfpennies, I have a nice purplish looking one here ?
Mine came about for the CCF, gnome stood for getting none of my errors:wavemulticolor:
My name is Naomi. My surname did start with J. I was born in 1986.
Mine is a nickname I invented for myself back in my high school and university days. It's derived from the first letter of my first name and the first two letters of my surname. I chose that rather than my regular initials because my middle name starts with W and "Swa" is both hard to pronounce and doesn't mean anything.
Nowadays, the only people who call me "Sap" in the offline world are my brother and forum people I happen to meet face-to-face.
Edit: Oh, and I added "yx" because this forum doesn't accept three-letter usernames. I used the same extension on the CU forum.

Ooh ooh where :dodgy::rolleyes:
My birth certificate name is actually Jeff** and surname starts with H. How original!
A small prize for the first to correctly spell my given name and also guess my middle name. Clue Ulysses.
Cheers,
Jeff (but I also have been known to answer to Jeff**, especially from an indignant mother or wife.)
I was Yass, but I couldn't use a four digit username. I now simply use my real name.
Key JeffH...is it grant? LOL

Knock out the ones starting with G; study my clues carefully and you will have a very short list to select an entry into my contest to win a coin.
How about a 1991 50¢ for the prize?"Grants" is incredibly close.
Jeff
Jeffry Grant
Ulanso..ulansol :)

Errorsarebest because errors are best.:D
As well as being a numismatist and an astrophysics graduate I'm a Trekkie and many years ago I read a book called the Making of Star Trek. In there is a list of possible names for the science officer of the Enterprise and one of them was Splock, which I took as my own on-line moniker many moons ago.
Thomas, LOL

Thanks!
:off_topic: Working on it, got to figure out what's spare and what I want to keep. Might take me a fair while though. :mr47_05:
OK,
Let's keep this moving. Another ram's head up for grabs; courtesy of enworb but he doesn't know it yet. Don't worry enworb, it is one you sent me with those nice notes.
Similar theme -guess my daughter's middle name. She is Dr Anna ??? Henningham. Please don't Google her but I think that may not help anyway.
One guess per person per day. As I see how it is progressing I will drop in a few cryptic clues.
First clue (useless) is that she lives very close to Nevol. Nancy, you can still guess as I don't think you have ever met.
Jeff
PS. Proper doctor, not medico -not a clue, just a proud parent.:good:
PPS. There is actually a useful clue in this post -think outside the square.

Your daughters middle name is "Nancy" :yahoo:
Awe come on..I even looked out side the square  courtny
Wrong Trout.
Go and do a bit more fishing and have a think about it.
When I said "think outside the square" I meant to leave all pre-conceived notions.
Jeff
My handle is easy as I used to be a part time/casual prospector, hence Goldseeker........
My daughter's middle name...
The answer is simple and quite short.
Worth a guess surely?

OK been fishing :good:
another guess
May
The ??? is the clue :good:
My daughters middle name is Mae. I have no idea where this thread is up to but I'll join in anyway.
Oh yeah (just re-read the title) I thought I was in another thread anyway, the guessing game thread. See this is what too many posts does to you.
Her middle name is "Joy"?
Thanks for guessing ??? was not meant to be a clue and it is not three letters. Four letters can describe it but it is not four letters either.
Jeff.
Keep the guesses coming.
Anna..Mal
Anna.. Conda
Anna..Mation
Anna.. kle
anna..rak
No..
Anyway my name came from the fact that someone else in this forum has my CCF name so I had to come up with a new one

:mocking: sorry PP, don't know how it turned into a game..JEFF :laughingneqw:
But it's all good 'cause it makes it fun :derisive:
Thanks heaps team, it's good to see how we get our names :good:
I chose "ozcoins" here because it is the same as I use on CCF.
I chose it there because I collect Australian Coins (which you could probably all work out :) )
Good try trout but not quite. Did you catch anything worthwhile?
It is very simple; maybe even less than simple!
Jeff
PS. Family tradition to pass on names to later generations. Often the family, traditional name is middle name (to avoid embarrassment to next generation?). Often a family name is passed to the first born but, not always (red herring? -Anna is first born). My wife has two middle names but refuses to recognise the second one (irrelevant).
i got mine from the name on my house , keldaw
kelvin and dawn ..
The best I can come up with at the moment is Becca.
When I joined CCF I decided that I wanted a user name that would mean something to Australian coin collectors but would be meaningless to anybody else. :mafia:
It probably makes me a bit of a nerd but it will do.
I don't know about coin collectors but up here a mob of roos :Gigakach_01: sorry roo but they're a pest and need fixing..not you mate but the real thing :winkextra:

The Perth Mint have been squishing them into coins for a while now.
That should keep you happy
:@ you lie..they're not real :dead_horse:
PM roo coins usually only one kanga pictured
The most I could find was 2.
Tho the bullion bars have heaps “squished into the back of themâ€

Look at all the dollar coins they have 5 of them buggers squished into them as well.
It is an absolute wonder we have any roos left.
I have a small family of roos living around my house area and I am trying to keep these hidden from that mint :good:
:laugh2: there are so many mobs that are 200 or more around here it's not funny so a ticket for 20 does nothin and that's only one farm :dash1:

April? You said the word could be described as a 4, April is the 4th month?
"April".
Clever thinking but, unfortunately, incorrect.
Jeff
Just thought I'd give this a bump for the newer members :)
my father always called me Robbie - nobody else in my life ever called me Robbie
he died in 1999 and being called Robbie died with him
brothers and sisters always call me Rob & I mostly refer to myself as Rob as well
in 2006 a new worker (woman) at work just naturally started to call me Robbie, then another and another , so I got to like being called Robbie again - closer work mates - not everybody
and funnily the hubby started to call me Robbie around that time as well
so Robbie remains and I don't mind it either
and well, I'm a gal so there ya go - robbiegal
when Mr Robbie is crabby - I am referred to as Robyn & then I KNOW i'm in trouble ha ha
my niece and nephew call me aunty robbs and we all really like that too
so I enjoy being robbie, rob, robyn and aunty robbs - it's all good in my books
just don't call me late for dinner!!
My dearly departed Mum always spelt my name with an 'ie'. I wanted to be able to have a flourishing sweep on a 'y' so I became Robby to all and sundry. Neither Mum or I ever relented and it became a wonderful memory.!! Robster was a name picked up in sporting teams along with "Moses' and "Bagwan".
First letter of my name and the first 4 letters of my surname. Was previously know as xristaki which is my name in Greek. Was not an easy username to say. :P
Chris
I suppose I should refresh mine as when I done this post I was using "little fish" (inspired by trout hehe) but went back to ausjack as I use it everywhere now except ebay. It just a combo of nick names I've had and being an aussie and everyone calls me Jack so there ya go :)
well, duggee was a nickname i picked up back in the last century in a drafting office, what it means .. who knows, those public servants are such fun people !!
27 is just the house no.
simple, easy to remember ( at the moment) .. not so my password :dodgy:
One of my top hobbies is waterfowl hunting, especially geese. I hunt approx 16 weekends in the fall and only have to travel 3 miles (5 km) to do so. I admire the Canada goose (and Canada's 1967 proof set - goose on the dollar) so I picked 'Goose'.
I'll give geese one thing, they make bloody good watch dogs :winkextra: let ya know when anythings around and will go just about anything as well :)
