Title: 2kg World coins
Post by: czark on December 08, 2013, 01:01:33 PM
Hi all,

Sorting 2kg worth of world coins.

Would anyone have any info on the following two? Not sure if these are coins or commemorative tokens of some kind.

1mm smaller than a 20c

Same size as the 5c
Reverse is almost identical with a slightly different face.

Not coins, I'd say. Can't even spell "Queen" right. ;)

Not coins because there is no country, date, denomination, etc.  After doing a Google for 'V B coin', I found this thread: http://metaldetectingforum.com/showthread.php?t=42185 which eventually lead here: http://www.vanbrooktokens.com/availabletokendesigns.htm
Apparently it is a token made by this Van Brook company listed in the 'General Purpose Designs' section.

DOH! Silly me assumed it was two sides of the same coin. I should learn to read, eh? ;)
