Title: Weathermen
Post by: Splock on December 06, 2013, 09:00:36 AM
So last night was our office Christmas party, held at the Mint in Melbourne. While I was there I bumped in to Goldy, who was there for a totally different reason. And then Channel 10's weather guy showed up to do his live cross for the evening news. Surreal but true:

Melbourne Mint that is now closed and they do Marriage ceremonies in the big building.   Just opposite Flagstaff gardens on the inner part of Melbourne and opposite the Federal Court here in Melbourne.   Nice old, well built buildings.

I also believe that a "gold selling company" has taken over the main building and at times have the vaults etc open for visitors to look through.

Yes, It was wet and Mike Larken from Channel 10 was already there ready to broadcast the late evening news weather forecast.   Many of us tried to squeeze into the tv broadcast, some of us made it, others didn't.

Splock:   Can you contact me by PM and give me your home email address please as I would like to download the photo for prosperity sake.   Thanks.
