How are the NSW members going with the storms ?,looks like Coffs Harbour,Lismore areas are getting a pounding, hope they are'nt too bad.
I'm in the middle of the two and we've had a bit of rain but not too bad and it's just eased off but still rumbles around and meant to get more but really we need it as there's cracks in the back yard that are an inch wide and some over a foot deep..I'll try and get some pic's tomorrow if it's fine :)
well we had another 20 mm and nice steady rain so it got to soak in so the cracks are closing a little :yahoo:
but I did just take a pic's while the sun is out, they go deaper than this as well, just didn't want to loose me ruler :winkextra:

WOW, unreal AJ hope you get more rain, the storms are a bit hit & miss up here too.
Ipswich had a bad storm 2 nights ago, ripped roofs off houses & caused plenty of other damage, the next small town to us had 40mm & we got 2mm but we're nowhere near as dry as you so fingers crossed things get better this week.
They are saying storms again this arvo/tonight,tomorrow & Thursday as well.
Heavy storms all around us but just passing us by. We are getting the wind but not the precipitation. Most frustrating when rain really needed.
I look at the weather radar and see all the red/orange zones nearby and have, several times, watched the rain falling just a few km from where I stand to get a good view out.
Yeah I hear ya Jeff as that's what we've had for months on end but we had more today and a BIG storm this arvo with another 20mm and you can see the bloody grass growing already :( Tis raining again right now, nice and steady so it soaks in :good: But not too much as I want to get more done and I know it will send the humdity through the roof :heat:

You couldn't have said truer words AJ .... even my sweat is sweating!
But in saying that, the rain has been brilliant!!!! Still over the moon about it. Tanks are on the brim, dam is full, river is flowing ..... geez the grass might actually grow now (actually it is already). :yahoo:
Jeff, hopefully your's won't be too far away!
Gee ya can't pic it here ATM as it was nice and warm five mins ago and now it's bloody raining again so I think it's time for a noodle while I wait :whistle2:

Your sweat was sweating? You're lucky. This morn our temp was +6 F (-15 C)....somewhat cool.
Yes, in comparison, we are very lucky indeed -15 C would be a shocker! What temp does it come up to?

Not much more than that here, mate. :(
Bloody spring came and went already.. all two days of it.. Grrrrrr. :(
Absolutely bucketing down here right now.
sorry bad pic but this is a little of what we had the other day, just glad it wasn't cricket ball size like some places
(http://i39.tinypic.com/1z35l6x.jpg)
Phew AJ, ours was a similar size, though not as much as yours.
It still sent me running out in the thunder and rain with blankets to cover the car!
spewin the grass was so long 'cause there's more that's hiding, yeah not real fond of the old hail storm but we don't get anything like when I was a kid and the late arvo storms would roll in and the gutter would be chocka and the hole place look like it had been snowed on but that was many many moons ago, oh the memories when I can remember them :laugh2:
I'll come for a visit uni and build ya a lean too :)
Thanks AJ .... I know you would too ....

thats not hail this is hail http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/water-funnel-spotted-from-wynnum-foreshore-as-weather-bureau-predicts-wet-weather-will-continue-in-southeast-queensland/story-fnihsrf2-1226761539354
yeah well I don't want any of that, this size is plenty big enough thank you very much :P
gee it's been so close to rain here for a while it's not funny but just rumbles for now and don't really need any more right at this moment.

Heh, I'm not afraid to spend money, but it has to be to value-add. Can't believe how much people I know throw away for absolutely no benefit beyond the immediate thrill.
They are cool. I originally wanted the Anura Quad, and went for a test ride. Hated it. Too unstable at speed, can't carry anything. Takes up a ton of space and can't stash it easily.
Then the guy said try this Magnum... 170Kg capacity, built like a battleship, stable, easy to handle, foldable
(fits in the back of my Getz if necessary), and actually cheaper as well. Already worked out how to carry four sacks of coins on it too... ;)
Now I just need to buy/build it a home, then I can go splash some cash. That's where you come in, buddy... ;)
You might want to have a scout around the Greenspeed site and find a dealer who can let you have a test ride. I guarantee you'd never look at two wheels again.. just ask cobwebs
(he's the one who put me onto these things in the first place, many many years ago).

Gee aren't you lucky that I like building stuff ;)

Yup. Just gotta get you down here, or teach me how to do it by remote control. :)
haha easier for me to come down, you can take me to coin show and auction :)
well we've had a bit of rain the last few days and even a bit more of this so lucky it wasn't too big and not as much as the last one and it's still rumbling around :( and it doesn't take long for it to melt in my hot little hand :winkextra:

That made me check the radar! Some fast moving storms up your way this arvo AJ!
yeah tell me about it Uni blowin and out real quick, just don't want a flood as had enough last year but some rain is good but wish I had the big tank set up out the front but it's getting close now but so is christmas :laugh2:
Well it rumbled for over an hour before it made it over the mountain ..... I thought we'd miss it ...... just caught the edge .....

yeah ya don't want to much of that Uni :( that stuff I posted the other day was small the had near cricket ball size over the river so we were lucky here, heaps of cars and that damaged but not hard enough to do building damage. My brother said even though it was big it broke up easy so that was a help..still nothing compaired to when I was a kid and the gutters were full and the hloe place look like it had been snowing.
The storm broke into 2 parts earlier. The bottom bit hung about the same spot for yonks before it finally came south over the mountain. The top half took off north flat strap and is just about to pass Grafton ..... so cover ya veggies AJ!!!
Yes, that cricket ball stuff can definately keep away!
The cows, horses and dogs all ran for cover as it was.
Cats ..... on the porch, couldn't care less, though the ears did prick up when a few big ones hit the tin roof.
Weather news to hand ...... it snowed in Cairo ..... first time for 112 years .....
yep we were just lucky as nymboida copped it and we had the tail with a few very small bits so yeah lucky this time.
