It's Movember and it's all about raising money for prostate cancer.
So I was thinking, what if we have a thread where we can post pics of coins,
with men, with moustaches. Maybe it could cost you $1 to post a coin pic
and the money could be sent to a Mod, who would send it on to the
Movember Foundation at the end of the month.
First we need a Mod to volunteer to take the money.
Here is my first coin.
The moustache belongs to Hindenburg.

Hold on folks. Let me get my head around this please. :scratch_one-s_head:
If it's going to be $1 per coin image posted, and you're going to keep posting, please try to keep track of your posts, as I don't want to end up expecting a certain amount of $$ from someone, only to find out that their total and mine don't match up. Eg, Triggersmob has now posted 12 images but he has duplicated 2 coins, so only 10 different coins, see what I mean?
If you don't plan to post any more, please let me know and I'll send you my Bank A/C details, or PayPal for overseas members.
I'll make up a little spreadsheet to keep track, and once per week on the next 4 Saturdays, I'll put up a list of donations so far, if everyone is OK with me doing that.
Please put me down for $5 thanks Nevol :)
$5 for me as well thanks Nancy

You've overcomplicating it kiddo. Just post the account details and let people deposit whatever. No need to waste time and effort on accounting, since its all voluntary anyway. I for one won't be posting pics, but I'll throw a few bucks at it.
I don't have a prostate gland any more ,

Totally agree. Thanks all.
The new total raised now is $100, thanks to Jeff's Charity Auction, and also to trout as the winner.
On 1 December, I will transfer the funds to the Movember Drive. From what I can see there are only 2 methods of payment I will be able to do, Credit Card or PayPal, so I'll be using PayPal and will do it as a gift, so I'll pay the fee.
Movember Donation Form

I'll post a copy of my PayPal receipt once I've made the payment on Dec 1.

Thank you very much for doing it Nevol and thanks to members for a good job :good:
Well done nevol.
Thanks very much, Nancy. :)
this is not entirely a Movember link
but it is the sort of work that these fund raising groups end up supporting
where I work - Dry July provided the furniture for our counselling room
The Look Good Feel Better program supports both men and women to have day of a pampering and to leave the session feeling beautiful/ handsome and loveable
and the list can go on
anyways, it's Christmas time and this is feel good clip
this clip is just wonderful and was a fund raising activity that also included the healing power of one second of freedom from the daily burden of being a cancer patient
http://www.utrend.tv/v/one-second/
this is the link to some of the photos from the book that were produced
http://www.mimi-foundation.org/en/ifonlyforasecond.html#the-book
Thanks for posting that RG!
