Where are the 2014 mint and proof sets ?
They normally show up about this time of the year
Mint sets for the upcoming year are usually being sold in November on Ebay so must be getting very close.

Have a look at the RAMINT site!
The best place for the best answer to your question!
I am constantly amazed how the RAMINT blatantly rips off the citizens of Au with the ridiculous prices it charges.
$32.50 for for coins with a face value of $3.85!
The RAMINT is laughing at us!

I already looked there, I was looking at getting an answer from one of the members with some "Insider" knowledge :ok:

Thanks Bigfellani5 for the info
Should have them on my website Monday I hope
It is interesting to note that the cupro Nickel selectively gold plated 25mm dollar coin in the Proof set is 10.03g and 1.03 heavier that a standard MOR coin at 9g :ok:
I have ordered my sets and can't wait for these little beauties to arrive :yahoo:
the mint has them for sale now. I saw them yesterday
I keep looking at my order for these sets and am waiting (Somewhat impatiently ) for them to arrive. :drooling:
Sorry Bigfallani I would have given you the business in a heartbeat but I just went with the first lot listed on the bay
Trout, you've struck at the first hook dipped in the water.
Why don't you wait until you can look through some and cherry pick the best you can find (or if you are unable to see a quantity get someone else to do so for you)?

I live in the middle of nowhere so I don't have the opportunity to "Cherry Pick", I really wish I could but that would involve moving to the City and I would rather eat Toads than entertain THAT idea.
It is a gamble with the mint sets but the proof sets are usually TOP quality :good:
Anyway I always get 3-4 mint sets and do a wee cherrypick at home every year
But If you are up for it I would appreciate it if You could pick a nice set out for me , You have a great eye for these :good:
Sure, no worries
Hello mr emu, look at all those ssssssssss. You must love purple pennies. I have yet to find one

Cheers Mate , it will save me buying multiple sets just to get a good one :good:
Who are you working with? if that isn't a rude question as I have bought from most of the dealers in Aus :)
Has anyone got their 2014 sets yet ?
Still waiting on mine to arrive.
Yes I have 5 all from the same seller on Ebay, $32.50 with free postage lovely coins

I may be able to look through some after work tomorrow. What is your priority of better coins? (as in $1, 20c, 50c, 10c etc)
I secured my Proof and Mint 2014 sets last Wednesday including the 2014 Baby Mint set.
I shall be returning the 2014 Mint Set due to a colour shift and the 2014 Baby Mint Set as the $1 coin has two gouges in the nice field.
Four sets bought, two sets to be returned and swapped, not a good ad for the RAM.
This is one good reason that I may give this game away.
I am seriously considering selling my complete collection and walking away with the money. Conservatively, using Greg MacDonalds Pocket Guide, my collection is worth $217,000 but whether I could get that much for the complete collection is another story.

Remember that Macca's are retail prices. Sometimes retail prices and prices you get when selling can be very different.

Agreed markn, but all the prices I have used are Greg's prices shown for the lowest grade of coins even though I have a full UNC collection.
Further, what will boost my value is that I do hold several "special" coins and folders that others do not have.

With your vast collection Bruce I would be sending some off to the plastics factory Mate and get a "Feel" for the coins grades :ok:
If you are going down that path then subscribe to PCGS instead of using a third party, it will work out cheaper in the long run if you submit your own coins Mate :good:
Seriously thinking about that trout but it is the $$$$$$$$$'s that is the problem at the moment.
Have just sent nine coins away for slabbing so will wait and see. (Seven 2000 Mules and two x 50c pieces).

May I suggest you PM wwwww, who is a member of this forum for further details please
Thanks Goldseeker I will
I just picked up my 2014 mint and proof sets from the post office :yahoo:
The pad printed $1 coin in the mint set is nice but the gold plated proof is absolutely stunning :good:
The copper nickel $1 proof coin is unique and beautifully produced and it will have a special place in my $1 coin collection :ok:
I will get some pics up as soon as I crack them out :)
Scans as promised :ok:
