Photo's aren't the best but this Crown, although the HP is intact, seems to have the big nose & mouth gape of the latest fakes doing the rounds!Any Thoughts...

Hi Basil, I think your spot on,the nose in particular is wrong.
Fake, took less than a second looking at the obverse.
I'm always suspicious of sellers who have sold lots of high grade 38 crowns like this guy.
My guess is that they use unclear photos on purpose and then send a fake instead.
The same seller has a Dansco Album (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Completed-Australian-Dansco-Penny-Album-1911-1964-Very-high-grade/231051376452?ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1&ih=013&category=170827&cmd=ViewItem) complete with a '1930' penny.

He does state in the text that the 1930 is a date change.
True he does Steve. IMO it's a chinese copy one rather than a date change, still he does mention it's not real.
Oops my bad I didn't see that at first but good to know the 1946 is EF+
Not sure about that 1925 ....... 2 looks a bit odd, could be the pic or my eyes.

Dud chinese.
Given the odds, the '46 is probably a dud as well.

The 25 penny is a chinese fake

the 2001 20c vic coins I get usually have some sort of the same thing going on, I sell the for the normal $1 on eBay, not enough to be an error, it more like a off centre or something, but not enough to be interesting, the 50c feds also have double edges too no biggie
There are quite a lot of errors on all the state coins. But I wouldn't count that as significant enough to count.
I have seen ebay sellers selling a mule like $2 coin :(
Quote from: 'runway' pid='28313' dateline='1379240771'mule like
Jeez I hate that term. Its got shyster written all over it.
Either its a mule, or it isn't. And $2's aren't. These bastids are simply trying to cheat people.
Another Crown i'm not sure of..1937 with die crack/flaw thru 'O' of George and no HP or K.G,i haven't seen a Coin like this(if genuine) before.

The feedback of the seller is a red flag, sometimes the sellers are unlucky and get a few negative feedbacks from a single buyer; but in this case there are 4 different buyers involved including from someone buying a AUnc 1938. That clinches it for me that the seller is not someone to risk buying the coin from.
