I sold a coin to a bloke in the US a month or so ago and got a notice from eBay (not paypal) about a "Not received item", However the buyer did say that he wasn't in the states and overseas and was unable to check his mail.
That is strange enough :ok:
I have just won a bid on a silver Canadian dollar and went to pay for it and got hit up with the bill for a refund for the coin I sent the US buyer, The seller of the Canadian coin has a different username that apparently is based in Aus.
Can anyone shed some light on this strange series of events?
haha sometime you get crap things turn up, they always comes in 3's for me, I usually call it a*hole week!

All I could do was issue a refund and yeah right the buyer will return that when he gets the coin :dodgy:
This is the Last time I ever sell anything to the US or Canada, I have NEVER had any dramas in Aus but some of them sods over there are pretty slimy and this is NOT the first time I have been eBay ripped off there :dash1:
hugs, yeah I set all my eBay stuff to only sell to aussies, if peeps want to buy from overseas they can always message you and ya can change the settings to let them bid, I have asked a few overseas sellers if they post to OZ and they are quite happy to let ya bid on stuff and change the settings and add postage to Australia, I have bought a few nice things that way.

I have bought a lot of coins from the States and Canada and will continue to do so But I won't entertain the idea of selling there again :ok:
i only ever send registered post
the item is then tracked and signed for, a paypal requirement anyways
can you prove that you sent the coin?
if they whinge about that registered post prices then i'm quite happy to cancel the transaction
Why buy something, complain you didn't get it but not even be in the country to receive it? -he was never going to get it! It would likely sit there too long and be returned to sender anyway. Unless it's hanging out of his mailbox and he's overseas, that's useful.

The return to sender would be the "Best Case" scenario as far as I am concerned.
What really angers me about this sort of thing is my integrity is being questioned and I don't wear that too well :aggressive:
Having this clown virtually call me a crook and "Gimme my money back" when he is not even in the same country to check his mail is quite frankly insulting an ludicrous .
I am totally DONE with buyers from anywhere but Australia :ok:
I sold an expensive coin to a guy in NSW who paid immediately but it's been waiting at his PO for collection since 15th July and he hasn't answered any of my emails. He was a regular buyer and seller but there's been no activity on his account for 10 days.Maybe he died.I suppose the coin will end up being returned so what do I do then?

If that is the case then it is an act of God not the actions of an imbecile .
All you could do in that case is make sure that the coin is sent to the executor of the will :ok:

I'll have to wait and see what happens.Last year I won some coins from a guy on ebay and he actually died after he listed them and his partner responded to my emails 2 weeks after the auction ended. It was a bit depressing but I got my coins eventually

now let's not be too melancholic here
occasionally the PO doesn't scan the item out
so it look so to be sitting there
and pple go on holidays too
unless of course it's something living, (like a cairns taipan ha ha) and yep, that shouldn't be sitting in the post bag for two weeks that is different I suppose

If I bought a $900 coin and paid for it straight away I would be sweating on its arrival and if the seller sent me emails I would also acknowledge them because I'd still be checking my emails when on holidays so there's something going on
Ok
I'm convinced - It's time to panic!!
You can get the buyers' phone number if it was through ebay
You can call the PO to see if it hasn't been collected but not scanned as such
it might bother me too (if it were me)
but buyers have to be responsible for the purchases - although kicking the bucket is a fair reason for not collecting
let's hope the buyer had to scoot off for the birth a new grandchild or something special like that
