I do like them little suckers ,but not that much
For that price, it has to be true love.
A $300 premium over intrinsic value is excessive, IMO. Pass.

I have just spent $1100 on less than 4 grams of gold and I am over the moon with that arrangement
It's all about the coin as far as I am concerned and the intrinsic value has little or no meaning as long as the coin is good for you :good:

Yes, but you weren't buying new gold. You were buying the history and rarity of the items, just as you would in buying a 1930 penny.
New product manufactured and released at excessively inflated prices like this is an entirely different matter. Even if they were ten thousand dollars each, there would still be some people who would pay it. And if the mint felt they could make more money from the reduced number of sales, then they
would jack the price up to that level, without any shadow of a doubt. I'm sure they will continue to inflate their prices each year as long as they can get away with it.
I find this morally bankrupt, and generally speaking I vote with my wallet and refuse to encourage them. The aftermarket is a different matter though, and I could see such prices being acceptable for some items.

the gold decimals are one of the true investment RAM coins aren't they?
Gold coins costs up, gold at the moment, down. What to do?
