I see one on ebay now and the price is up to $36.
The one on eBay is ex mint set, not that that means anything about quality although the seller seems to think it's a specimen. Doesn't look like value for $36 to me. You can buy a whole mint set for just $10 more or maybe pickup a nice lustrous unc one on your next shopping trip for 10c..

Figures from the RAM indicate that the 2011 10c has a mintage of 1.75 million which makes it scarcer than the 1985 10c.
Presumably this will be a final figure as they are already releasing 2012 10c into circulation.
I will go to the bank tomorrow and see if I can get any 2011 10c pieces

I think the $1 mintage is quite high. I know the $2 and 10c are very low. Ive only found two of each.
I found 2 2011 10 cents today that's why I was curious about the auction :P

You'll need to ask you bank if they have any Armaguard bags. Some banks order them, but not all. I don't think there's any guarantees about what year is in them though (but I may be wrong as I've never got an Armaguard bag).

I looked at a couple of 10 centers I put aside & two of them are virtually choice UNC. I didn't know the scarcity of them. Are the figures finalised? Like completely finalised?
I only have 3 of each 2011 10c and $2. Looks like theyre going to be hard ones to find.
I have been to many banks in Adelaide trying to find a full $100 armaguard bag but have had no luck. Theres plenty of 2012 bags though so i think ive missed the boat :(

No, but seeing as 2012 10c pieces abound there are unlikely to (m)any more 2011 10c pieces minted.
I really doubt there will be any more. As Mister T said there are tonnes of 2012 10c out already. It would be unusual for them to then go back and use an older dated die.
I went with the mint set option.
A lot more expensive than the noodling option but the coins are in great condition and I didn't have to hunt too hard to get them.

2011 is the one to find Kel. I recently noodled nearly 2kg of 10ยข (about 350 coins) and still haven't found one -I have done this exercise probably about 8 or ten times since 2011.

The Mint sets for 2011 were not that flash, the highest graded coin on PCGS is MS66.

I think it has more to do with the equipment I have than my skill :angel:
I remember finding maybe five or six during 2011 but they dried up pretty quickly.
I found 3 $0.10 in circulation but also managed to pick up 23 X 2011 mint sets.
Found about 150 $2 2011 circulated with similar mintage to the ten cent.

The three I got were NOT that flash .
2011 sets are great quality just like every modern day sets
I've been able to find quite a few of these over the years (lots of searching). They are still hard to find but I have much more trouble finding the 1985 10c where I am. I find about 4 x 2011 for every 1 x 1985 10c.
1985 10c had a low mintage as well very hard to find
