Not something you see often. Or ever really. Pity about the gouge

Yes the gouge is unfortunate,i put it on my watch list this morning & it's already past $320 so it'll be interesting to see the final value.
I'm assuming the coin jammed in the press and the gouge is the result of getting the coin out. Similar to the gouged Charles and Di 50c struck on a GB 50p planchet. Unfortunate, but a result of removing it from the press.
The bidding has been a bit strange on this coin,3 days ago someone bidded it up to it's current price, then retracted their bids & it stayed at $500/$520 until today, that style of bidding sux IMO.
I saw this one last night. What a shame about that big scratch!
Whoa $1151.
I guess they wanted it
Time will tell if they have a money maker.
My thoughts were thet $750 would pull it up.
If the scratch is from removing it from the press then i would assume the mint worker who removed it kept it. Pretty dodgy...
Thsts what I was thinking too enworb.

I agree! Very :dodgy:
This coin has made a re-appearance at 2-3x the original selling price. The gouge is still there and still unfortunate.
