Thank heavens they don't.

And while we're at it, why this...

You are trying to post a message too quickly after posting a previous message. Please wait 20 more seconds.

Surely we jump through enough hoops to be allowed to post that we can be trusted not to spam ads for viagra and porn????

You mean like a +1 button? Brilliant idea. ;)

And get rid of these annoying "You are trying to post a message too quickly after posting a previous message. Please wait 9 more seconds." messages.

If you go find a smilie you like then sometimes something magic happens and markn adds it to the smilie list.

There are too many smilies now. Perhaps the list should be trimmed to exclude ones that members never use.

ooooh.. don't get me started...

Even though I use them (sparingly I hope), I don't really like them, because like the SMS-speak kiddies use, they dumb down communication rather than enhancing it.

Kiddies?  Try listening to a politician or a senior public servant speaking and count the number of abbreviations they use in every sentence.  It's not just the kids who dumb down communication.

:laugh2: do we really want to go there..bloody politicians are worse than kids :dash1:

They use terms and words that they have no idea what they mean so just like kids they feel bigger than they really are and as for the ummm's and areee's, my god the public speaking is atrocious these days and that's just the two "leaders" :whistle2:

Its cos they're all members of the Readers Digest Buzzword of the Month club..
They actually think it makes them sound cool, when it really just makes them sound a bit "special"...;)
