Sorted out my 2004 mis-aligned die dollars and have managed to get a mis-alignment for all the clock angles.

That's a sweet idea if you wanted to put them into a wooden mould and turn it into an actual clock.. Would look complete if the middle coin was a 2000 mule lol..

can we have a pic of the other side
Sure can Trout, I'll sort one out as soon as I can. Like a lot of 2004s many are centred normally on the opposing side, but I did recall some misalignment on both sides for some.
MattGold, that sounds like a great idea. Just pop a mule in the post and I'll make sure it gets pride of place!!! :laugh2:
(Yes, I'm still looking for one ..... so sad ..... but I find other little treasures along the way).
Haha cool. Ive seen it done with rotations but not with slight misstrikes.
OOP's I read the post wrong I was looking for the rotation.
Now I SEE what you have done
COOL

Thanks fellas, I think 2004 might be about the only year for it. Most other years seem to only have a few different " o'clocks ".
Trout ...... gee don't I wish it was rotations!!
(Only ever had a 9 and a 3 o'clock in the 2001 Fed)
Just for interest sake ..... (I know Trout thought they were rotated coins when he asked for a pic of the reverse, but anyway, here's a pic).
Interestingly the coins at 7 through 10 o'clock have a similar mis-alignment as the obverse. (Which means they are misaligned on the opposite side of the coin, but to a similar degree - very curious).

Hey, wait on, "clock face of errors" is my trademark. To settle the argument, give me your "clockface" as payment....heheheh
Now, why didn't I think of that?
Now that sounds like a plan Goldseeker!
(Might see if I can find one that involves a Turnip) :read:

Ditto. After the discussion a while back about how far off they need to be, I've been ditching all mine. :(

I think it is up to the individual. If you think that doing an "arrangement" could be interesting to be viewed to others, why not? Makes this hobby interesting.

Matt: Is it you that is the wood worker? If so, I might have a suggestion for you.

Indeed. You are quite right of course. All too often we get sidelined by things others tell us have some value, and we lose sight of what's important.
