Post by: Goldseeker on May 11, 2013, 01:28:55 PM
Here is a scan of the Black Caviar PNC with two of the owners signatures that I got today at the 2013 Stamp Expo:

Had I taken the above PNC back to the Show on Sunday, I could have got some more owners signatures of Black Caviar.   However, the Sunday visitors were not advertised so I missed out.

It is a pity that the coloured Black Caviar coin was not used in this PNC.   I think it would have improved the PNC.   The coin used makes the cover look a little bland.

Is the coin in the PNC the same as the coloured coin, except for the colour of course.
Could the coloured pad printing be removed with a bit of acetone?

I think its a different reverse and I reckon acetone would do a good job of removing the pad printing.

it jolly well shouldn't
it is like an enamel

I will make it easy for ya!
1. the pnc coin is plain with no colour or frosting
2. the colour coin has frosting so even when acetone is used you would know it was a coloured coin :P (no cheating)

I wonder if this was deliberate by the mint after the "error" Millenium proof 50 cent coins appeared

Bugger!!! missed out on the PNC. They are now about $30.00 to buy,
thought it might be a cheap fix to remove colour pad for same result.
Well not to be I guess.:dodgy::dodgy::@
