Post by: Goldseeker on May 10, 2013, 05:33:07 PM
Hi One and All,

All is good for those that ordered/requested coins.

ok uploaded all me pics from the day! 136 woo I was a busy girl
pictures were taken in large format, so will take me a bit of time to shrink them down to computer friendly size.
ok I will put 5 up here and the rest will be sent to PP :)

line line and line up again! yep line was the theme of the day for me, waiting in line all day, from getting in to getting the counter stamp coin, The counter stamp coin line was a bit tough tho, limit of 2 per customer just to buy the PNC (takes hours) the lines were HUGE! then line up to get the actual coin minted for it.
the line for the PNC went all around the aussie post area, around the black caviar exhibit and around the corner and in the direction of the entrance!

ok there was soooooooooo much there that it took me 3 laps just to take some of it in, highlights included being able to see 3 holey dollar and dumps on display to which I was allowed to have one taken out and photographed in persona in macro, the guy said no one else would be able to get that close to a holey dollar and dump like that.
(my pics have better detail than the sales catalogue on offer ;) )
a big thankyou to the Downies second booth, that had on display there next sales catalogue coins on display.

was not happy with coinworks, I got the royal don't care piss off attitude from, wouldn't not let me take a close up pic of the proof parliament house florin. I wanted to show people pics of the really multi colour toned coin for trout, even said it would have been free advertising.

I went upstairs, and took pics of the whole space from overhead. huge crowds and huge lines, thankfully we had wonderful weather and a great atmosphere, everyone was soooo friendly and chatty we spoke to people who had travelled worldwide just to be at the event.
black caviar was the main theme for Australia post, along with the m counter stamp coin.
black caviar had a wonderful display that included trophies and signed clothing, really did show you how great the horse was.

stamp stuff was really overwhelming for someone that doesn't know much about that stuff, took heaps of pictures of the original intact stamp sheets of the first kangaroo one, also the original die that was used for that too!
also got my pic in there too with goldy eek be nice, xx

Ah thank you AC, a nice picture of you and I.   Further, the lady in the background is Helen from the RAM who will hide if she knows that her picture is being taken.   Send her a copy and brag about it.

For those that I have had orders/requirements for, all is well for day two.

Maybe they were worried about the authenticity of this coin actually being a Proof coin AC
I have an article for a magazine that Sel sent me regarding these proof Canberra florins and they are quite hard to detect from a normal coin :ok:

For those that ordered PNC's etc through me-All is well for day three.

Further, a spokesperson from AustPost has advised me that "any limited edition PNC's remaining at the end of each day WILL NOT be sold at a later date".

Not sure what the RAM will do.

I'd been looking for this since AC posted a pic of the 2013 Expo Admission Ticket.

Was anyone else in the queue for the one below? (Queue as in around the block with the Town Hall in it!!!!).

I sure wish the RAM would have got together with Australia Post way back then and released a PNC.

I'm not sure but I think the first RAM show release was the 1988 A.I.C.F at the Menzies Hotel in Sydney. (The queue for that one was much more tolerable).

Agree Unicorn those were the days.....

triplewitch great link to Prospect website
the unusual struck 50c in all the PNCs are these reason for buying the PNC?
