The only difference is the spike on the 9's tail which is more common. Only found with flat base reverse lettering and London obverse. Just scarce as found, accounting for approx. 1.2% of total 1922 Penny mintage.

A lead trial strike exists showing both obverse and reverse. An official presentation of a bronze medallion was made to the Postal Department.
