There is known to exist two trial strikes, each of the obverse and reverse. The "Pidgin English" on the reverse has been criticised as being incorrect.

Spur at left side of foot on first 2 alters the alignment to left edge of denticle 9. Alignment for last 2 is the same as for group 1, #1 ie. left edge of denticle 15. Only found with flat base reverse lettering and London obverse. Extremely scarce as found, accounting for approx. .04% of total 1922 Penny mintage.
