1922_upright_9_common_date_width.JPG1922 Penny reverse501 viewsUpright 9 common width date, extremely scarce. The left edge of the foot on last 2 aligns with the centre of 15th dentil when counted from and including the dentil immediately to the right of the 1. Not well known but often wrongly described as the wide date variety simply because of the upright 9. Nearly all common width date coins display the obvious LEFT leaning 9. Only sighted 9 of these in 8 years of constant searching, mostly every day i.e. internet, shows, dealers etc. Cannot locate in high grade.
