1966 R.A.M. Proof set

Proof coins are the same as those we see in our change, but are struck with specially prepared machinery on specially prepared blanks - the designs always stand out magnificently.The 1966 proof set is unique in several ways - it is the only one to feature a round (and silver!) 50¢ piece, and is the only one not produced in a sealed plastic container. As a result, many 1966 proof sets have spotted or tarnished coins - sets that include each coin still in pristine condition command a significant premium.
